Hello! I'm Luke, a senior software engineer based in Toronto. I've spent the last 6+ years shipping production software across web, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, with deep ownership from architecture all the way through to operations.
Today I work at the intersection of healthcare and software. At Ada Health, I lead full-stack integrations of our core assessment product for government, insurance, pharma, and consumer clients, embedding assessments through our Web+Mobile SDK, delivering SSO/OIDC, and shipping FHIR handovers into patient health portals.
Before Ada, I worked on a secure Electron desktop app for incident response at Mobistream, built fintech flows at Nyble, and pioneered cryptocurrency-powered charitable donations at Synergenics. I studied Computer Engineering at McMaster University, where I researched societal trust in computer vision with a Vector Institute affiliate.

Senior Software Engineer

- Lead full-stack integrations for Ada's core assessment product across government, insurance, pharma, and consumer clients, embedding assessments through the Web+Mobile SDK, client portals, SSO/OIDC, and FHIR handovers.
- Own the SDK and built an iframe eventing library that standardizes communication between Assess, Connect, FHIR Reports, and partner platforms.
- Designed service-to-service integration patterns for real-time assessment updates and partner callbacks, helping direct 18% of patients initially seeking emergency care to alternative care options.
- Delivered SSO/OAuth 2.0/OIDC integrations and FHIR handover modules (including EPIC integrations) that route symptom-recommended next steps into patient health portals.
- Architected GitOps-based configuration management for Kubernetes microservices, enabling client-specific feature toggles and reducing onboarding time from two sprints to about one week.
- Ensure HIPAA-aligned operations and partner compliance, including COVID-era handoffs that connected eligible patients with Paxlovid through pharma workflows.
